About

CCS is a unauditioned choir that provides an opportunity for adults in Orleans (the east end of the City of Ottawa) and surrounding area, to sing a wide variety of choral music. Formed in 1992, CCS today is comprised of approximately 45 voices, and is proud of its volunteer spirit and activities.

The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings, 7:30, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1325 Gaultois Ave. ( Orleans Blvd. south of St. Joseph @ Notre Dame ) beginning the week after Labour Day.

CCS presents two concerts of their own each year, in December and May, while also taking part in other community events. The choir is a regular participant in the “Orleans Christmas ChoirFest” on the first Sunday in Advent, often broadcast on Rogers 22, and in the MosaiK Choral Festival in February.

Our Christmas Concerts are at Orleans United Church, and the Spring Concerts were at the Orleans Theatre (formerly Cumberland Town Hall) and now in the Harold Shenkman Hall, at the Shenkman Arts Centre.
